Upgrading Olive's Corner

Consultation has concluded

Olive’s Corner has been identified as a pocket park requiring a much needed upgrade. Council sought feedback on what the local community would like to see included as part of the landscape upgrade for Olive’s Corner. This consultation informed a draft concept design.

The design for the area was finalised in June 2016. Following the landscape construction tender process and contractor availability, the landscape upgrade works are scheduled to commence in February 2017. The construction fencing will restrict access to footpaths surrounding the reserve and alternative pedestrian walking routes will be in place while the works are underway. We trust you will enjoy the upgraded Olive's Corner in 2017.

  • What we heard from the community: October 2014

In October 2014, Council asked the community what they liked about Olive's Corner and what improvements the community would like to see.

We heard the following from the community:

    • Improve pavement - make the site level to remove trip hazards
    • Improve seating with the inclusion of a picnic/games table
    • More greenery - planting, trees
    • Improve litter receptacles - especially for cigarette butts
    • Inlcude interpretive signage for the memorial
