Thank you for your feedback on what you would like to see included in the Elwood Playspace in the future.

Stage one of consultation commenced on 23 December 2016 and concluded on 24 February 2017. Feedback was received during consultation via the following methods:

  • Online via Council’s Have Your Say page
  • On-site consultation session held at the Elwood Playspace
  • Phone calls and emails
  • Social media posts on Facebook and Twitter

Some of the key suggestions received during stage one of consultation included:

  • Increase planting for nature play opportunities and shade
  • Provide additional furniture, including seating, picnic tables and bins
  • Design the space for small-scale events and activities
  • Maintain the space as an open, grassed area
  • Provide play equipment that is all-abilities, ages and accessible
  • Incorporate water play elements
  • Informal recreation opportunities, including fitness equipment, a ping pong table and soccer goals
  • Provide a community garden
  • Reinstate the existing public artwork.
