The feedback received from the online, on-site and door-to-door surveys, clearly illustrates support for a fully fenced site at Eastern Road Reserve.
We are currently investigating funding options and works will start when this is secured. We'll provide an update when works are due to start.
About Eastern Reserve
Eastern Reserve (south side) has recently been upgraded with a new play space, park furniture and steel fencing following community consultations.
Fencing was extended around the play space to the Eastern Road/Heather Street corner, then continuing towards the kindergarten, with an open section left directly at the footpath entrance opposite the kindergarten. The conversion of Eastern Road into an extension of the reserve and a parking area has reduced direct access to vehicular traffic on this side of the reserve, and a planted barrier has been installed with temporary fencing in the opening.

Survey
Eastern Road Reserve
Council is interested in hearing from the community about their feelings of fencing the side of the Eastern Road Reserve South. The survey will inform partnership strategies to address any safety concerns and ensure the reserve remains an enjoyable place.
