Help Council understand the social significance of Hotel South Melbourne

Our local hotels have been a source of political and community interest and protecting them is important as they are often deeply valued by their patrons.

For this reason, we've engaged with the community to assist with our assessment of the social significance of Hotel South Melbourne (formerly known as the Star Hotel and Market Hotel) to the local community in South Melbourne and City of Port Phillip.

We want to know what the community values about the Hotel. We would like to know whether people have memories, personal or historical, connected to the hotel. This will help us assess whether the hotel has any special elements that need to be protected or acknowledged.
