The weather was spectacular and Ripponlea village was a buzz with Friday morning shoppers, walkers and cafe goers.

We had huge interest in our green waste program, with 48 residents collecting FOGO caddies, bin liners and meal planners. Plenty of people came and spoke to us about their ideas for the Arts and Cultural Heritage Strategy as well as the Positive Ageing Strategy and the draft Local Law.

Councillors Crawford and Sirakoff both stopped by to meet local community members and hear their concerns ranging from street cleaning and street art to conservation.

The line for the local bakery stayed consistently long for the time we were there, and with so many people boasting about their baked goods a few of us had to cave in the end.
