- my favourite part of the day & weekend - esp morning or evening are the beautiful sunsets, walking along the beach, sunny, stormy, winter or summer love all weather when on the beach - from port Melb to St Kilda, or port Melb to sandridge Point with dog or kids. Pure joy and contentment.
- my husband runs every morning with his running buddy our dog Kieran along the beach. We love when dolphins and stingrays near the shore
- this is living and loving the simple things in life - best of both worlds (makes city living bearable!) and amazing for our health, fitness and overall good vibes.
- water so crystal clear on some days feels like it's QLD, on others - fishing lines and rubbish on some days pile up - try and pick up with a bag of rubbish anytime out walking.
- assessing or regulating cruise ships- big polluters and run all day/night for power ...advocate for cleaner power efficiency of cruise liners if they spend so much time in our waters and docks
- encourage cruisers to spend and buy local? Usually bused in and out and do not even go and buy a coffee!! Encourage caravaners and nomads to stop and spend! We did a lap around Australia and in towns which had council run or rotary managed stops (3 or 5 day limits) we would stop and spend- stock up on supermarket, fuel, other supplies, pub meals, coffees and things for kids do, whether a swim, activity etc... this is where $$ spend happens..
- keep local area clean
- weekend market at princess pier area? So quiet and unused
- not sure re: climate change issues and best care but love wetlands areas, bush coastal areas, walking paths, dog friendly eg think great Ocean Rd - dog friendly all year round. Love the marina, jumping off the port Melb pier with kids on hot days, volleyball comps, fish n chips on the beach, paddle boarding or kayaking, swimming, outdoor fun and creating memories - hate the jet skis and the noise!!
Loved the sandridge and kerferd park playground for the kids when they were younger...
Keep encouraging outdoor, fitness, active lifestyle for everyone from kids to seniors and wonderful beach lifestyle. Minimise rubbish and waste and plastics, encourage care for marine life

Walking or cycling between St Kilda and Elwood beaches is good exercise, beautiful and calming. A very special place.

Walking along Albert Park beach near pier man standing further out seabirds mass feeding near Angling club informed them to stay there as between him and the shore a large manta ray was dashing to join the feeding!

I love South Melbourne Beach and the beautiful opportunities to play beach volleyball with the 12 courts, always there and available! Thanks for this.
I am wondering if the Port Phillip Council could install some bigger and stronger consistent light poles in the volleyball area (next to Pipi's at 129 Beaconsfield Parade, Albert Park) so that we could play until late in summer, even after 9pm. At the moment, it is a pity that the light poles are not allowing us to play after sunset. Thanks for considering this.
