Consultation has concluded

From June to July 2016 we asked the community for feedback on draft changes to parking restrictions in St Kilda.

The proposed changes were based on parking occupancy data and community requests. The consultations aim was to test this data with people who live and use the streets for parking.

Following consultation, the revised plan was sent to residents and businesses in September and Council re-consulted with streets directly affected by changes.

Results

We received 912 survey responses.

Overall, 52% of community members did not support the proposed changes in their streets and 29% were supportive of the changes. The remaining members were undecided.

An interactive map of the changes is available to view at Parking in Port Phillip – St Kilda on the City of Port Phillip website. The final new parking restrictions are expected to be installed in February 2017. More information about the Neighbourhood Parking Scheme can be found on our website.
