Consultation has concluded

The first round of consultation on the proposed changes to parking in Balaclava, Ripponlea and Elwood closed on 30 October. 850 written submissions were received with an additional 80 community members attending public information sessions.

68% of respondents to the proposed parking changes survey said the information provided during the consultation helped them understand the parking challenges in their area.

Next steps

During November and December, Traffic Engineers will review the community feedback, modify the plan and conduct further consultation where required. The final plan for parking changes in Balaclava, Ripponlea and Elwood is expected in late February 2016. Parking restrictions will be installed in March to May 2016.
