Consultation has concluded

This consultation has now closed and the City of Port Phillip has finalised the Port Melbourne Waterfront Urban Design Framework (UDF) 2013. The Port Melbourne waterfront is highly valued as one of Melbourne’s most significant waterfront locations and a gateway to the city. This framework will enhance liveability, improve public spaces and secure a sustainable future for the precinct.

The draft UDF 2013 builds on the earlier draft Port Melbourne Waterfront UDF released in December 2011, by responding to community feedback and incorporating recommendations from independent technical studies on transport and access, views and vistas, and design and development.

Council has prepared separate draft Design Guidelines for 1-7 Waterfront Place to guide any possible future development on the privately owned site. You can find out more about the draft Design Guidelines here.
