About the project

Clean, safe and accessible public toilets play a major role in the liveability of our City for residents and visitors.

Public toilets placed in suitable locations contribute to a sustainable, accessible, equitable community, are important to a functioning city, and encourage locals and visitors to use high-activity areas for longer periods of time.

Council's Public Toilet Plan 2013-23 was out of date and required updating. We developed a Public Toilet Plan to ensure we are delivering a plan to improve the condition, accessibility, inclusivity, and safety of our network of public toilets.

We sought the community's feedback on the plan to make sure we included the issues that are important to the community for our public toilet network.
