We established two Community Reference Groups (CRG) for Acland Street and Fitzroy Street. The CRG members worked together to develop design solutions for the Route 96 and 16 Tram Upgrade.

The CRGs include local residents, landowners, older persons, people with mobility impairment, local traders, public transport users and two councillors; with officers from the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure, PTV, Yarra Trams, VicRoads, and Council in attendance.

To ensure there was a good representation of St Kilda’s diversity, we held an open nominations process. Councillors then chose members from this pool of nominees based on their skills and local experience.

Over September and October, the Acland Street and Fitzroy Street CRGs convened for three meetings each.
