Gaming

The Gaming policy (schedule to Clause 52.28 of the Port Phillip Planning Scheme) seeks to minimise harm from gaming and the incidence of problem gambling and provides guidance on the location of gaming machines. It updates policy to replace individually listed strip shopping centres with all strip shopping centres within the municipality as prohibited locations for a gaming machine. It also updates policy around how gaming machines are addressed in urban renewal areas.

The Gaming policy is a particular provision in the Port Phillip Planning Scheme.

Otherwise the policy's content has come from existing policy in Clause 21.04 (Land Use), Clause 22.07 (Gaming) and the schedule to Clause 52.28 Gaming of the Port Phillip Planning Scheme.

This document shows where each part of the new policy has come from.
