The City of Port Phillip manages community gardens on council owned or managed land. The way we do this was raised by the community as a priority during consultation on council’s pending Open Space Strategy leading Council to develop a set of guidelines for planning Community Gardens.

The Community Garden Assessment Guidelines were endorsed by Council at the Ordinary Council meeting on Wednesday 15 April 2020 and provide a basis on how Council manage existing community gardens and the establishment of new community gardens in the City.
