Council is planning changes to the Emerald Hill Masterplan from 2012 (South Melbourne Town Hall public space) to make a better space for everyone. The goal is to create a more pedestrian-friendly precinct, increase greening, support events, and reinforce its role as South Melbourne’s community arts, and cultural hub. Right now, we are asking for feedback to help us reimagine the Town Hall forecourt in a way our community will love.
Share your feedback before 11.59 pm on Sunday 28 June 2026. Your feedback will help inform Council’s decisions to change this space.
