We're seeking community feedback on the proposed design for a new fenced dog off-leash area at Fennell Reserve in Port Melbourne.
The new dog park will provide a safe, dedicated space for dogs to exercise, play and socialise while supporting shared use of the reserve for the wider community.
The proposed design includes secure entry gates, separate areas for different dog types, landscaping, seating and other park improvements. While the location and key features of the dog park have already been approved, there is still an opportunity to help shape elements of the final design.
We want to hear what you like about the proposal, what could be improved, and whether there are any features you'd like us to consider before the design is finalised.
Your feedback will help us refine the design and deliver the best possible outcome for dogs, dog owners and the wider community, while balancing project requirements, budget and site constraints.

Your feedback will shape decisions about the final design, such as dog agility equipment (such as obstacles and play features), additional seating, drinking fountains and/or landscaping.

What you can't influence on this project
The following features are fixed parts of the project and are not being considered for change:
- A fully fenced dog off-leash area to help keep dogs safe and contained.
- Double-gated ("air-lock") entry and exit points to reduce the risk of dogs accidentally escaping when entering or leaving the area.
- There will not be changes to parking
