Council is developing a new Multicultural Strategy to support inclusion, belonging and cultural safety across the City of Port Phillip over the next five years.

We’ve made a draft strategy based on earlier feedback. Now we want to check we got it right and make any improvements.

We want your views on:

• Whether the proposed ways of reaching the goals are appropriate

• How the strategy could be improved or made clearer

Your feedback can help refine:

• The way we can reach the goals in the strategy

• The clarity and accessibility of the document

Some elements are fixed, including:

• The objectives were developed through close work with the community and can’t be changed. Although, we can change the wording to help make it clearer.

• The overall timeline and budget

You can:

• Complete the online survey

• Have a one-on-one conversation (phone, online or in person)

• Request a hard copy or translated survey

Yes. We can provide:

• Translated materials

• Interpreters

• Different ways to participate, including phone or in-person options

We welcome input from everyone from people of different cultural and religious backgrounds and across the broader community especially those whose voices are not always heard.

Engagement is open from 8 June to 19 July.

We will review all feedback, update the strategy where needed, and share a summary of what we heard and how it was used.

The final strategy is expected to be presented to Council in October 2026.
