Marine Parade Promenade has been reimagined as a place to socialise and relax with a new design for boutique food, beverage and retail offerings.

The existing fencing, parking and traffic areas will be removed and the wet berths where the boats are moored, will be moved to the other side of the marina on the peninsula. These changes will open up the Marine Parade space and create a vibrant strip for the community to enjoy as well as enhancing the views and interaction with the marina.

Marina Reserve is located to the St Kilda side of the marina and is popular with locals and visitors. The reserve is part of the Bay Trail and features a skate park, playground, dog off-leash area, picnic facilities, toilets and beach showers. There are garden beds of coastal vegetation and includes Water Sensitive Urban Design to filter the car park stormwater before entering Port Phillip Bay. Abutting Marina Reserve is a meteorological weather station and running through the reserve are cultural landmarks from the Melbourne Solar System Trail.

As part of the redevelopment of the marina site, fencing between the marina and Marina Reserve will be removed. We’d like to hear your suggestions on how to best to integrate these two local attractions.
