About the project
We are exploring a major greening opportunity in Alexandra Street, St Kilda East. Guided by the Urban Forest Precinct Plan for Balaclava and St Kilda East, the proposal includes creating a green corridor alongside the St Kilda Cemetery and planting additional trees south of Alma Road. We’re seeking community feedback to help shape a greener, cooler, and more liveable neighbourhood.

What happens next if the community supports the project?
If the Alexandra Street Green Corridor project receives community support, Council will begin technical investigations to assess whether the proposed changes are feasible. These investigations will help inform a draft concept design. Once a draft is developed, we’ll come back to the community to share the concept and invite further feedback before any decisions are made.
