We’re working to create fun and welcoming recreation spaces under the Graham Street overpass in Port Melbourne. Now that the skate park upgrades are finished, we are looking at ideas for the space on the other side of the light rail. We imagine a flexible area with a multipurpose hardcourt, places to sit, and spaces to meet friends and be active. Your ideas will help us design a space that works well for the community.

This project is focused on the area under the Graham Street overpass. Changes to other nearby areas are not under consideration as part of this project. What you can influence on this project
Your feedback will help shape our concept design for a new recreation space beneath the Graham Street overpass, on the northern side of the light rail. That includes:
- what activities, recreation features and amenities are included
- whether we close any parking spaces to create more room for recreation.

What you can't influence on this project
There are limits to what can be built on the site:
- Underground services mean the space must have a hard surface.
- The overpass means there is limited natural light to support grassed areas.
- The location of the pillars that hold up the overpass and any light rail infrastructure must remain in place.
